Vanessa Désiré’s latest love post fuels romance rumors with Joverlein Moïse

Haitian singer Vanessa Désiré has removed almost all doubt about her relationship with Joverlein Moïse, son of the late Haitian President Jovenel Moïse, after publicly tagging him as her partner in a video posted to her verified Facebook page.

The post, shared August 8 at 12:29 p.m. and captioned “est avec Joverlein Moïse”, shows a brief nighttime clip of the pair with their faces close together in what appears to be a kiss. As of this writing, the video has drawn nearly 12,000 likes, 1,600 comments and 245 shares.

The post lands the same week Désiré shared a birthday tribute to Joverlein on Instagram, pairing his portrait with a passage echoing 1 Corinthians 13’s meditation on love and closing with “Happy Birthday to My Person.” That post has drawn more than 30,600 likes since it went up two days ago.

Together, the two posts mark the clearest public acknowledgment yet of a relationship that fans have suspected since February, when Désiré and Joverlein released “Lanmou Se Nou” (“Love Is Us”), a romantic duet that came out on Valentine’s Day.

Written by Désiré and Joverlein alongside producer Negrito Cali, the song found the two artists singing about love, intimacy and emotional connection, and its release was preceded by video-shoot images showing the pair in visibly close moments, which first fueled speculation that their on-screen chemistry extended beyond the studio.

Until now, neither artist had publicly and unequivocally confirmed anything beyond the music. Désiré’s “with” tag changes that: it’s a direct, self-identified claim rather than fan interpretation or secondhand footage.

Neither Désiré nor Joverlein has issued a formal statement addressing the relationship, and Faces of Haiti has not independently confirmed further details beyond what’s visible in the posts themselves. But between the tag, the video, and this week’s birthday tribute, Haitian fans and entertainment outlets are largely treating the question as settled: “Lanmou Se Nou” wasn’t just a song.
