A platform and movement for the best of Haiti
Our culture, our art, our people, and so much more.
Who We Are
FacesOfHaiti is an independent Haitian media platform connecting Haiti and its global diaspora through news, culture, sports, entertainment, community stories, and original productions.
What began as a photography project has grown into a cross-platform media network reaching nearly one million people across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Threads, and Reddit. Our work is grounded in a simple belief: Haiti’s story should not be defined only by crisis. It should also reflect the country’s people, achievements, creativity, resilience, history, and influence around the world.
FacesOfHaiti documents the stories shaping Haitian communities today while creating space for new voices, ideas, businesses, artists, athletes, filmmakers, and community leaders. Through journalism, photography, video, documentaries, interviews, event coverage, and digital storytelling, we bring Haitians closer to Haiti and present a fuller, more accurate image of the country to the world.
Our original productions include “BOYO: Haiti in 30 Days,” a 92-minute documentary exploring Haiti’s history, people, culture, and destinations. The film premiered at AMC Aventura in Miami on October 1, 2021, and helped establish BOYO Films as the production arm behind our long-form visual storytelling.
In 2022, FacesOfHaiti and BOYO Films launched a film festival dedicated to celebrating Haitian cinema, creating greater visibility for filmmakers and supporting stories that expand how Haiti and Haitians are represented on screen.
Our documentary work continued with “The Heroes of the Massacre River,” which tells the story of the Haitian workers and communities behind the construction of the Ouanaminthe Canal. The film premiered in Miami on May 30, 2025, before expanding to screenings in Haiti and across the United States.
Today, FacesOfHaiti is more than a media page. It is a growing cultural institution, creative network, and bridge between Haiti and its diaspora.
FacesOfHaiti is a movement.
