Pétion-Ville Bans Three-Wheeled Motorcycles, Sets Delmas 95 as Final Stop
The Pétion-Ville municipal government has announced a new restriction prohibiting three-wheeled motorcycles, commonly known as moto 3 wou, from entering the city center beginning Monday, August 10, 2026.
Under the new measure, drivers traveling toward Pétion-Ville from Delmas will be required to stop at Delmas 95, which will serve as their final point before downtown.
Authorities have not yet publicly detailed possible penalties for drivers who violate the restriction or how long the measure will remain in effect
Municipal official Marie Geralda Nelson said the decision is intended to reduce traffic disorder, improve road safety and limit accidents in heavily traveled areas of the commune.
