MENFP releases partial exam results, with 9th-Grade pass rate at 89.55%
Haiti’s Ministry of National Education released partial results, Friday, for the 9th-grade fundamental studies exam (9e Année Fondamentale) and the baccalauréat.
The results, compiled by Haiti’s National Bureau of State Examinations (BUNEXE), cover eight of Haiti’s ten Departmental Directorates of Education (DDE) for the 9th-grade exam and two departments for the baccalauréat. Results for the remaining departments were not yet available as of Friday’s announcement.
9th-Grade Fundamental Studies Exam
For the 2025-2026 academic year, MENFP reported the following pass rates by department:

The Nord department posted the highest pass rate among the departments reported, at 93.45%, followed closely by the Ouest (91.90%) and Nord-Est (91.73%). The Nippes department recorded the lowest pass rate, at 75.50%, followed by the Sud-Est at 80.34%.
Combined across the eight departments reported, 130,279 of 145,473 candidates passed the exam, for an aggregate pass rate of approximately 89.55%. Results for the Artibonite and Nord-Ouest departments had not been published as of Friday.
Baccalauréat (End of Secondary School)
For the baccalauréat — the exam marking the completion of secondary education, administered under the S4 series — MENFP’s director general presented results for two departments only:

The pass rates for the baccalauréat are markedly lower than those recorded for the 9th-grade exam. In the Ouest, fewer than half of candidates — 18,746 of 40,996 — passed, a rate of 45.73%. In the Nippes, just 1,649 of 4,086 candidates passed, or 40.36%. Combined, the two departments reported a pass rate of roughly 45.24%.
MENFP did not immediately indicate when results for the remaining eight departments would be published.
