Melchie Dumornay runs the show as OL Lyonnes demolish Paris FC (7-1)
Two games into the new Arkema Première season, and Melchie Daelle Dumornay is already making it clear this campaign belongs to her.
The Haitian international was the standout performer on Saturday as OL Lyonnes thrashed Paris FC 7-1 at Groupama Stadium, contributing two goals and two assists in a complete, all-action display that earned her a perfect 10 rating from Sofascore.
It’s back-to-back wins to open the season for the Fenottes, and back-to-back statement performances for Dumornay.
A Command Performance from Start to Finish
The match was tight for most of the first half before Lyon broke it open right before the break. Marie-Antoinette Katoto opened the scoring in the 41st minute from a corner, and four minutes later Dumornay doubled the lead herself, rising to head home a cross from Jule Brand just before halftime.
That header was only the start. Katoto struck again just after the hour mark to make it 3-0, and that’s when Dumornay truly took over the match. With Ada Hegerberg introduced off the bench in the 61st minute, Dumornay became her provider-in-chief, setting up the Norwegian striker twice in the space of eight minutes, in the 63rd and 71st, as Lyon pulled away from a Paris FC side that had no answer.
Paris FC pulled one back through Clara Matéo in the 70th minute, but it barely slowed the tide. Six minutes later, Dumornay was on the scoresheet again, coolly converting a penalty to make it 6-1 and put an exclamation point on her afternoon. Lyon added a seventh in stoppage time when Ines Benyahia teed up Hegerberg for her third of the day, sealing the rout and the Norwegian’s hat-trick.
By the final whistle, Dumornay had two goals, a first-half header and a composed penalty, and two assists, both for Hegerberg, in one of the most complete individual performances of the young season anywhere in Europe.

Two matches, two wins, and two standout performances, Dumornay has picked up right where she left off, cementing her status as one of the most dangerous attacking players in the Division 1 Féminine and giving Lyon fans an early glimpse of what could be a special season for both the team and their Haitian star.
