Haitian International Wilson Isidor scores winning goal as Sunderland beat Fulham

Wilson Isidor, the Haitian national team striker, scored the only goal as Sunderland beat Fulham 1-0 on Sunday, giving the club its first Premier League win of the 2026-27 season.

Isidor, who came off the bench midway through the second half, struck in the 75th minute at a packed Stadium of Light, converting a right-footed finish after Habib Diarra picked him out with a well-placed pass. Moments earlier, the 26-year-old had rattled the post with a similar effort before finding the net.

The goal came just days after Isidor signed a new contract keeping him at Sunderland through 2030, and it delivered the club’s first victory over Fulham in six meetings.

Born in Rennes, France, to Haitian parents, Isidor pledge his international allegiance to Haiti in March, becoming the first Haitian-eligible player on Sunderland’s roster. He went on to represent Les Grenadiers at the 2026 World Cup.
