EKIP unveils new album ‘An Militè’ with Wyclef Jean, Anie Alerte and more

Ekip MusiQ has released its new album “An Militè,” a project stacked with guest appearances from some of the biggest names in Haitian music, including Wyclef Jean and Anie Alerte, as the band opens a new chapter behind two fresh lead voices: Emmynix and D Singer.

The title track sets the tone from the opening bars, driving the album with the propulsive rhythm the band is known for. From there, “An Militè” unfolds into a rich and varied tracklist that includes “Why Not,” “I Don’t Like You,” “Kite Yo Pale,” “Ou Fèm Mal,” “Ewo,” “Bèl Nwit,” “Magalie,” “Dòmi Fache,” “Leta,” “Lagem Nan Var” and “Happy Birthday.”

For its third studio project, the band brought in some of the biggest names on the Haitian music scene. Singer Anie Alerte lends her captivating voice to “I Don’t Like You,” while Kenny Haiti adds his distinctive touch to “Kite Yo Pale,” and international star Wyclef Jean elevates “Bèl Nwit.” Black Dada brings his energy to the socially charged “Leta.”

Behind the scenes, Hervé Anténor, known as Shabba, remains the project’s driving creative force, serving as composer, lyricist and arranger.
